About MSC GATE

In container logistics, responding quickly to market changes and looking continuously for better solutions for efficient services is crucial. Such a solution is MSC GATE Bremerhaven, a dedicated terminal for MSC container vessels and therefore part of MSC's global transportation solution. Flexibility is our key factor to success.

MSC GATE Bremerhaven combines the forces of two leading companies: EUROGATE, a leading container terminal operator in Europe, and TIL Terminal Investment Limited, a related company of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, the largest container shipping company in the world.

The terminal started operations on 1 October 2004. Located in Bremerhaven, the fourth largest container port in Northern Europe, MSC Gate Bremerhaven offers excellent feeder connections to the Scandinavian and Baltic regions, and is well connected to the German and European hinterland by road and rail.

MSC GATE is situated on CT I, the southern part of Bremerhaven's container port, and has an area of 600,000 sqm for container operations. With a total of four berths for even the newest generation of container ships, 11 super-post-Panamax container gantries, 60  straddle carriers as well as 1,606 reefer plugs and four empty container forklifts, MSC GATE Bremerhaven is well equipped to face future growth. In 2018 MSC Gate Bremerhaven handled 1,503,000 TEU.
